map flags
We can flag heroes and henchies back or at a certain location on the map, but today I got to thinking - what if you want to come back to something later? For example, I got a boss bounty while farming today and couldn't remember which part of the map the boss was on. If I was able to flag it, I could have gotten to it faster and not wasted the bounty.
So my idea is to be able to mark certain things on the map, like where a boss is, where a locked chest was, etc. And if there are multiple people in the party, everyone would of course have a different colored marker. What do you think?

Wouldn't be perfect since some bosses walk around and stuff, but yeah, being able to add beacons or points of interest is a fairly common feature in a lot of games (Mass Effect comes to mind). Couldn't hurt, and could be helpful for teaching a guildie about how to do a run or where to move in a new location. It is a lot more finesce then the usual compass squiggling. Could also make the HFFF easier and eliminate the "need" to use that textmod map somebody made for that.
Probablly a GW2 idea. Bit unrealistic to think it will be added, but still, a very useful feature.

It could be like the red dots that are drawn on the map.
A little button is aded next to the [x] close button in the Mission panel, you click the button, the pointer turns into a little flah, click in the mission map and a flag is added. Click in the flag and you can input a short text.
Leave the area and the flags are removed.

Just use TexMod and modify the map texture, it's been implemented for HFF, so just mark the bosses as you come across them. Heck, make a whole project involving everyone with it to help you out!

It'll be helpful for alot of situations in PuG if other players can see it too, instead of having to go into radar range to draw stuff on the radar.

If it works in a PUG it should be (though this is probably a given) that only the person who put it there would be able to edit it. Even better you could have a drop down list of options (Boss, Interactive Object, Locked Chest ect.) so that you don't get people planting a flag called Penis.

I didn't know they made a TexMod thing for it. lol But me, I don't use it because ever since I had it I had nothing but bad luck (it didn't work for my cartographer title, I rarely used it, and then my account got blocked). So for the people who don't like TexMod like me, this would be easier and better. Nice suggestions by supporters too.
